Elaine Vaccarello
My name is Elaine Vaccarello. I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. I have taught in Turkey for seventeen years. In that time, I have taught every level of primary and middle school as an ESL teacher. Currently, I am teaching fourth grade math and science. My favorite style of teaching is through learning centers. I also like to take education outside of my classroom with hands-on activities and cross-curriculum projects. I am starting my master’s program in special education, which will be the follow-up to course work that I have already completed in this field. I strive to make literature come alive for my students. I have authored and published fifteen ESL story books designed for Turkish government school children. I have dedicated myself to being a life-long learner. I also enjoy giving back to my profession by being a teacher trainer.
